"Long Seax, Viking Sax Knife, Bone Handle with Norse Ravens Hugin and Munin

Step into the world of Viking lore with our stunning Viking Age sax knife, also known as a broken back seax due to its unique blade shape. Hand-forged from high carbon steel, the long blade boasts a thick spine and retains its rustic charm with visible forging marks and oxide scale layer.

The highlight of this seax knife is its exquisite handle crafted from polished bone, intricately etched with designs featuring Odin's faithful messenger ravens, Hugin and Munin, alongside Norse runes.

In Norse mythology, these ravens bring news from across Asgard and Midgard to the Allfather of the Gods, adding a touch of mythical allure to this piece.

Accompanying the seax is a stunning leather sheath, meticulously tooled with period Norse knotwork designs and adorned with antiqued brass fittings, including two hanging rings. The twin bird motif found on the handle is elegantly replicated on the sheath, creating a cohesive and visually striking ensemble.

While fully functional, please note that this Viking knife has a slightly sharpened edge, which may require re-grinding for optimal sharpness. It's essential to understand that this scramasax is primarily intended for collectors or as a decorative piece and is not suitable for combat reenactment.
